– Combine 4 oz. (3/4 cup) coarsely ground coffee beans with 16 oz. cold water in a 32 oz. /1-liter glass jar or pitcher

– Stir until all of the grounds are saturated then cover with a cheesecloth or a coffee filter

– Let it steep for at least 12 hours or more if you want stronger coffee; then remove the filter (do not press on the grounds) and seal tightly with either plastic wrap & rubber bands (for an airtight seal) or screw lid on tight.

– Pour some water into your cooking pot, place over medium heat, and bring to about 200°F (93°C). You can also use an electric kettle like this one if you don’t have access to a stove/heat.

– Transfer your container of cold brew concentrate into a metal pitcher (like this one ) that will fit inside whatever container you’re using your pressure chamber; then nestle the pitcher into that secondary container

– Add hot water until your cold brew is chilled down, then place your pressure chamber on top of it (with the release valve open). If you don’t have a pressure chamber, use a heavy objects to keep your jar/pitcher under pressure (or under liquid) like dumbbells or another heavy pitcher.

– When you hear hissing coming from the valve, close it and give it about 30 minutes; if you’re using hot water in an electric kettle after 30 minutes turn off the heat and let rest for 5 minutes before removing the inner pot & releasing pressure

– Remove your cold brew concentrate from its metal pitcher (it should be concentrated enough that will dilute much even when adding cold water)

– You can store cold brew concentrate in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or you might freeze it for later use (I like using these freezer bags )

7) Cold Brew Moka Pot Recipe

If you love coffee & espresso, pressurized cold brew is great for making “cappuccinos” where your rich foam comes from mixing cold brew with hot water, which is what I show below. Since there are so many varieties of Moka pot, I’m just going to give you my quick 2 step process that’s super easy to remember: 1) put the grounds in the bottom chamber, and 2) pour boiling water over it.

– Place the Moka pot funnel over your cup and insert a standard espresso filter in its bottom (you can use multiple filters if you like to be precise)
